What is CF card？
CF card is meaning Compact Flash card.
CF card used as camera’s recording media. CF card size is a double~triple compared with SD card. And, CF card used to recording media of AKAI MPC 2500.
What are the recording medias per AKAI MPC series
The recording medias of AKAI MPCs are different at per series.
AKAI MPC 2000(XL), MPC 3000 are using floppy disc for date save. And, recent models (like a MPC Studio etc…) are sound dates save to Personal Computer’s disk. Recent model’s merit is they can increase the save date capacity. Also, those demerit is they can’t use stand alone.

Thing that you should to know before purchase CF card is “CF card that over the 2GB is unusable on AKAI MPC2500”. At first, I don’t know about it. And I bought to Transcend 4GB CF CARD. But, it didn’t responsive when I put it to AKAI MPC 2500’s MEMORY CARD SLOT. After that, I researched about those and tried to Transcend 2GB CF CARD

As I mentioned while ago, CF card that over the 2GB can’t use on AKAI MPC 2500. But, CF card that under the 2GB is no problem for use on AKAI MPC 2500. Thus, CF cards that 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, are usable on AKAI MPC 2500.*1 Incidentally, operability confirmed CF cards are like the following.*2
